Sober Living - Our History
Amethyst Landing Sober Living opened the doors to its first recovery home for men in 2010 in the safety of the Bankers Hill neighborhood. Successful sobriety of so many of the residents inspired the opening of the current location in the University Heights neighborhood of San Diego, minutes from Balboa Park and sunny beaches. The founder and staff at Amethyst Landing genuinely care about your recovery. First-hand experience and long-term sobriety give us the ability to understand the struggles of our residents and offer help along the way. We know what you're going through...we've been there.
Providing Purpose
Early recovery is a time to focus on creating and embracing a new life, to rejuvenate hope and relationships, and acquire the skills and accountability to continue on your sobriety journey with renewed purpose. Amethyst Landing Sober Living fosters a clean, safe harbor to rebuild by encouraging a tranquil community environment among residents working active recovery programs, protecting house sobriety with twice-weekly and random drug tests, and having caring managers who live on site for support. While providing encouragement and positive structure, we recognize your goal is to ultimately achieve the mental, spiritual, and emotional strength to successfully live sobriety on your own, and we strive to give you the appropriate space to grow.

Your well-being is our top priority, and we adhere to the highest sober living standards. Amethyst Landing is a member of the Society of Addiction Recovery Residences and a certified recovery residence by the California Coalition of Addiction Programs and Professionals (CCAPP). In addition to welcoming residents from the community, we are honored by the many referrals to sober living we receive from treatment centers and counselors in California and around the country. San Diego is known as a great place for recovery, and we look forward to sharing more information about our sober living as you enter the next stage of your journey to a healthy, sober life.
